Billy The Kid Has Gotten His Wings
Shannon and I had to help Billy the Kid to the bridge on 07/01. The
vet was compasionate and helped us deal with the loss.Billy,s
intestines were riddled with cancer and he lost all will to eat,drink,
and live. He gave me that "Daddy I can't fight anymore look", so we
made the decision to let him go to the angels.We were with him when
the Dr. gave him the shot,and I wouln't have it any other way. We sang
his song to him and he left this earth knowing Mommy and Daddy loved
him.
Now I truly know the pain of the loss of a loved ferret. I have lost
Fun Contest From Totally Ferret

Black Footed Ferrets In Need.
Friends and colleagues- I have some news, if you haven't heard, about black-footed ferrets in Conata Basin, South Dakota, where I've worked on ferrets for the past 13 years. On May 15th sylvatic plague was confirmed in the prairie dogs of Conata Basin, home to one of the largest populations of black-footed ferrets in the world. Plague is a bacterial disease that is fatal to both ferrets and their primary prey, prairie dogs, and is the same disease that devastated human populations in the European Middle Ages.
Losing Friends
We have lost a member of the ferret community. Carol Simeon passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2008.
I am sure she was greeted by a multitude of friends as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
We will miss her.
